Daniel Ausema is an educator and stay-at-home dad. His short stories have appeared in Strange Horizons, Diabolical Plots, Fantasy Magazine, and many others. His poems have appeared in many of the same and more and been nominated for the Rhysling Award. His novels include the fantasy trilogy The Arcist Chronicles and the steampunk-fantasy Spire City series. He is an active member of Codex, SFWA, and SFPA. He lives in Colorado. Languages: English (native), Spanish (fluent), French, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, and Haitian Creole (to varying extents), and always interested in learning more.
